Below are rough notes and accompanying clips of a Bond movie I happened to watch on an idle Saturday.
- good one liner when may day is introduced.
- pretty interesting action sequence / car chase that starts at the eiffel tower.
- really crazy practical stunts but kind of makes bond look incomptetent
- almost comical, cartoon like
- impressive nonetheless
- really funny dom / sub dynamic, with double entendres to boot
- ends on a profound line: ‘a successful cover becomes almost second nature.’
- first instance of walken’s charm; when bond is made.
- some spirited horse riding; p cool
- classic evil corp aesthetic when zorin hatches plan for take over silicon valley
- ends with an on-brand bond villain murder
- and one-liner
- he says the movie title!!!
- an apple computer!
- it's the apple IIc
- this movie was released 4 months before jobs left apple in 1985
- some more charm
- genius line after zorin murders city dude
- “intuitive improvization is the secret of genius”
- classic american porker of a cop arrives
- so many movies have this type of scene - cops arriving at a developing situation, surrounded by bystanders and media
- bond is a hero.
- "is he?" "are you?" "i’m dick tracy and youre still under arrest"
- walken fulfills his duty as psychotic villain
- nice views (to a kill)
- walken’s last laugh before he dies, genius way to play the psycho
- “there’s never a cab when you want one”
